President's Welcome

I am Alanna Hicks-King, President of the Decatur Alumnae Chapter (DAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and it is my distinct honor to have you as a visitor. While you are here, I hope that you will learn more about DSTDAC, who we serve, and most importantly, find out how you can join us at our many programs and projects as we work together to becoming “Catalysts for Change, Committed to Our Community!”

For over 40 years, the ladies of the Decatur Alumnae Chapter have provided service to the following areas: Avondale Estates, Chamblee, Clarkston, Decatur, Dunwoody, East Atlanta (DeKalb County area only), Ellenwood, Norcross, Scottdale, and Tucker. Over the next two years, DAC will continue to provide similar programs that support the sorority’s Five Point Programmatic Thrust:

• Economic Development
• Educational Development
• International Awareness and Involvement
• Physical and Mental Health
• Political Awareness and Involvement

The Decatur Alumnae Chapter will continue to engage our members, fellow Greeks, business partners, supporters and friends in political and policy changes that have over-arching implications, international happenings and crises, educational and scholastic opportunities, tools to become more economically aware and helpful tips to help every visitor become in tune with our physical and mental health.

I am ecstatic about serving both the members of Decatur, and working with you to ensure we continue to be “Catalysts for Change, Committed to Our Community!” Please visit us often to keep your finger on the pulse of Decatur!

Committed to our community,

Alanna Hicks-King,
President
Decatur Alumnae Chapter
