Francine S. Gadson President
Decatur Alumnae Chapter
Francine S. Gadson at Delta Days at the Nation's Capitol
Greetings!
Welcome to the website of the Decatur Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Decatur Alumnae has served the community and been a part of the sisterhood since 1973 when sixteen Determined, Extraordinary, Dedicated sorors decided to assist DeKalb County and provide needed services to the community. Since that time the chapter has continued to provide programs that fall under the sorority’s 5 Point Programmatic Thrust:
Economic Development
Educational Development
International Awareness and Involvement
Physical and Mental Health
Political Awareness and Involvement
It is my pleasure to serve as the president of the chapter for the 2011-2013 biennium. As a part of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, our illustrious sisterhood, that was founded by twenty-two visionary women ninety-six years ago, Decatur Alumnae continues the call to service as designated by our National President, Cynthia M.A. Butler-McIntyre, “Delta Sigma Theta- A Sisterhood Called to Serve: Transforming Lives, Impacting Communities.”
We invite you to visit our website often to find out and participate in our public service events and fundraisers that will provide assistance to our community. We are committed to continuing the work that has provided the essence of our existence for the past 38 years.
